The Basic Fin is a part introduced in version 1.0.1. It is a very basic and small part, meant to partially stabilize small rockets early on in Career mode. It doesn't cost much, and is not the best winglet out there. It has a very low impact tolerance of 4 meters per second. The winglet also overheats very easily and quickly. It does, however, cause very little drag due to its small size.
Product description
“ | This simple bolt-on aluminum fin may not be the cutting edge of aerospace engineering but it's dirt cheap and will make your rocket slightly less unstable. | ” |
