The Mk1 Diverterless Supersonic Intake is a structural part like the Engine Nacelle, but carries a bit more fuel. It features an inline air intake and it has 2 attachment nodes at the front and the back of the part. A possible usage is to attach this part radially to an aircraft's main hull, and put an intake at the front and a jet engine at the back.
Altough it is described as a supersonic intake it is actually inferior in performance to other supersonic intakes and becomes nearly completely ineffective at mach 5, compared with mach 3.5 for subsonic intakes and mach 8 for supersonic intakes. This makes it a poor fit for high performance supersonic jet engines, altough it is adequate for the J-404 "Panther".
