This part might be considered as some sort of battery although the specific energy is rather low with only 0.8 echu/kg. Because of the electric storage and base module function it acts like a command module with the actual controlling capabilities. Although it is intended to use for rovers, the forward of its command module looks towards the top of the body by the navball. It provides no torque.

The Probodobodyne RoveMate is an unmanned command module intended for use as a rover body.

Product description

A sturdy housing for a robust probe and battery system - no assembly required! Thought intended as the body for surface rovers, we've been told by our most day-dreaming of engineers that the possibilities are endless! While it has a Stability Assistance System, the RoveMate lacks reaction wheels so bring some along if you want to hold that attitude.

Usage

The Probodobodyne RoveMate can hold an electric charge of 120 units and offers large flat surfaces for easy attachment of other parts, like wheels. It does not have a built-in reaction wheel, and provides no torque.

When using KerbNet, the RoveMate has the highest anomaly detection rate (100%) of any KerbNet module. However, it also has the smallest field of view (10° max) of any module, when not landed or splashed down.

Variants

As of version 1.5 this command module has three textures that can be switched in the editor.
