The medium Thermal Control System (TCS) is a deployable radiator used to dissipate waste heat into space (and atmosphere), pumping it out of hot parts anywhere on the craft.
Part heat may be accumulated from external sources (e.g. re-entry or sunlight from Kerbol) or be generated by reaction engines or the cores of resource harvester drills or converters, while they are active.
This radiator only functions while deployed and will be broken off by 2.5 kPa of dynamic pressure (i.e. moving too fast through a fairly thick atmosphere).

Usage
For the purpose of core cooling, one of these radiators is sufficient to maintain optimal thermal efficiency of (approximately):
- 2x 'Drill-O-Matic' Mining Excavators (Senior).
- 5x 'Drill-O-Matic Junior' Mining Excavator.
- 1x Convert-O-Tron 250.
- 5x Convert-O-Tron 125 (to the extent it is permitted to cool them).
Note: the limiting factor for core cooling is the "Core Heat xFer" (transfer) limit of 250kW. This is substantially lower than the what the part can actually dissipate (under most circumstances), with a "Max Cooling" figure of 19494kW.
