The Inline Clamp-O-Tron is a docking port on the side of the vessel. Until version 0.20 it was named Hull-mounted Clamp-O-Tron. Like the Clamp-O-Tron Shielded Docking Port it must be opened before docking.
Usage
It allows other parts to be placed on either side, so that the craft can maintain a streamlined profile, and also allows the crew move through. It is not so durable as the Mk2 Clamp-O-Tron, and has the same empty weight, doesn't have monopropellant tank built in, so in case of building an Mk2 fuselage based craft, that is more preferable to use.
If this part is the docking component of the active vessel when you are performing the docking operation, you will really want to use the control from here function to ensure that the controls and navball are effected relative to the docking port itself.
