The Elevon 4 is a control surface — a part that generates lift and deflects to alter a craft's center of lift to aid control of aerodynamic flight within an atmosphere.
Uses
The Standard Control Surface is can be used for adjusting the lift of a space planes wings to control the pitch of a space plane. It is also commonly used as a rudder on the tailwing for horizontal control.
Product description
“ | Feel the need to attach an elevator, rudder or aileron to just about any surface you can get your mitts on? Well this small elevon is for you. Made of mostly new factory parts, it will fit just about anywhere. Just don't expect a huge performance out of such a small part. — C7 Aerospace Division |
