The Mk3 to 2.5m Adapter is a Mk3 to 2.5m adapter and fuel tank containing liquid fuel and oxidizer mixture.

It has the same mass and fuel capacity as the Mk3 Rocket Fuel Fuselage Short.

Product description

Perfectly pointy, carefully curved and devastatingly destructive, this Mk3 to 2.5m adapter can satisfy your wildest of dreams. Or it'll let you bridge the gaps between parts on your craft while giving you a bit of fuel... Your choice.

Usage

The Mk3 to 2.5m Adapter is used to provide a seamless connection between Mk3 and 2.5m parts, allowing 2.5m parts such as engines, fuel tanks, reaction wheels, or command modules to be attached to a Mk3 craft (such as a spaceplane). It also has a flat side like other Mk3 parts, letting it also serve as an attachment point for wings, fins, and landing gear.

The adapter can also be used on rockets to attach exclusively Mk3 parts, such as the Mk3 Liquid Fuel Fuselage Long or the Mk3 Cargo Bay CRG-100, onto a 2.5m rocket.

The Mk3 to 2.5m Adapter is also a rocket fuel tank containing liquid fuel and oxidizer. It can be used to power liquid fuel rocket engines, like the RE-L10 "Poodle" Liquid Fuel Engine. It can be placed both in-line and radially mounted.

When full, one tank can power a single RE-L10 "Poodle" Liquid Fuel Engine for up to 171.6 seconds at full thrust, or a single closed-cycle CR-7 R.A.P.I.E.R. Engine for up to 207.7 seconds at full thrust.

At 2600K, its heat tolerance is slightly lower than that of most Mk3 parts. However, it is still higher than the heat tolerance of the average 2.5m part.

The Mk3 to 2.5m Adapter can be combined with a C7 Brand Adapter - 2.5m to 1.25m for a seamless connection between Mk3 and 1.25m parts. In addition, an Advanced Nose Cone - Type A can be added for a smooth transition to a pointed tip.
