Tail Connector/Box

The Tail Connector is a part with only one node connector meant to attach to the tail of an aircraft. Its purposes are aerodynamic.

Usage

Engines mounted on multiple connectors

This part is used for the tail of a plane usually. It adds to the craft's mass and thus drag but less so than a fuel tank, making it a good place for tail fins and winglets on planes designed without a centerline engine, such as on the wings. Of course this part can't store any fuels so fuel tanks are required nevertheless.

Some use it for connecting 1.25m diameter engines (such as the LV-T30 Liquid Fuel Engine) radially on a fuel tank when the attachment node is rotated to face downwards, where engines are placed.

Product description

A simple aerodynamic tail for aircraft. Designed to fit onto all standard 1m attachments, this part is the embodiment of our "Let's Fly", line of parts.
