The RoveMax Model S2 is a small rover wheel used for construction of land-based vehicles.

Usage

The Model 2 is the smallest, lightest, and cheapest rover wheel available, but also the slowest and weakest wheel. On level ground a player can theoretically drive at the maximum speed of 12.0 m/s, but depending on the size of the craft, wind resistance, and vehicle dynamics the top speed on level ground will actually be less than 12.0 m/s.

While under full load, the RoverMax Model 2 wheel drains 1.0 electric charge per second (3600 E/hr). When accelerating from zero one can expect maximal charge drainage, but when maintaining a high speed on level ground charge drainage will be low. This all depends on the motor output and can be monitored by right clicking the wheel.

When designing a rover it is important to make sure the wheel is not blocked by other parts or it will not function. It might be necessary to leave extra space near the wheel since the suspension can travel up to 0.2 m.

Product description

Seeing an untapped market for a smaller design of rover wheel, Kerbal Motion quickly pounced upon this opportunity with the Model 2 - designed for robotic vehicles or smaller crewed vehicles.
