The S2-33 "Clydesdale" Solid Fuel Booster (also known as an SRB) is a solid rocket booster used to provide a short burst of additional thrust to a rocket. It comes as a single unit. The engine and fuel tank are one single part which means that it isn't possible to increase the burn time for it by adding more fuel tanks.
It is one of the two 2.5m solid rocket boosters, larger than the S2-17 "Thoroughbred" Solid Fuel Booster.

Product description
“ | The Clydesdale is not surprising just for its size. It's also amazing just how much thrust comes out of this motor - nothing else in its size class comes close. — Kerbodyne |

Usage
Like other SRBs, the Clydesdale can be fired once, and cannot be shut down or throttled once active. While assembling a vessel, it is possible to adjust the amount of solid fuel and thrust using tweakables in the VAB or SPH. If planned properly, this can provide some control during flight. Unlike smaller SRBs, the Clydesdale has thrust vector control, making it easier to control while active.
Once ignited, a Clydesdale with full fuel and thrust will burn for 85.9 s. If jettisoned while empty, it can parachute to a safe landing with four Mk2-R Radial-Mount Parachutes.
The minimum thrust required for the Clydesdale to lift its own weight off Kerbin's surface at sea level is about 48%, or about 1412.6 kN.
The Clydesdale can be radially mounted like other SRBs to increase thrust and TWR during liftoff. Due to its large size and thrust, it can also be used as a standalone first stage, mounted below the rocket. However, because of its low specific impulse (Isp) and high mass, it is not recommended to use it beyond the first stage.
Trivia
- As the product description mentions, the Clydesdale has more thrust than any other 2.5m engine. With 3300 kN of thrust in vacuum, it has about twice the thrust of the other powerful 2.5m engines (the S2-17 "Thoroughbred" Solid Fuel Booster with 1700 kN, and the RE-M3 "Mainsail" Liquid Fuel Engine with 1500 kN).
- It is the second most powerful engine, after the 3.75m S3 KS-25x4 "Mammoth" Liquid Fuel Engine (4000 kN).
