The RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit is a command module built for unmanned Size 1 rockets.

Usage

Designed to be placed anywhere in a small-diameter stack, the RC-001S Remote Guidance Unit provides full command module functionality with full SAS control, including all direction selectors, and a very small amount of reaction wheel torque.

It consumes twice times as much electricity as most other probe cores, but, like its larger sibling the RC-L01 Remote Guidance Unit, stores significantly more electric charge than most, as well as lasting for >20 hours in hibernation from a full charge with no power input.

It is one of a few high end probe cores that can collect, store and transfer experiments in the same way as an experiment storage unit.

Product description

The STEADLER RGU core is one of the most complete command units available to date, featuring all the latest guidance systems, plus its own internal set of Reaction Wheels. STEADLER claims this is the closest one can get to a fully self-contained spacecraft. (Some assembly required. Spacecraft sold separately)
