The electricity generation efficiency depends on the distance from [[Kerbol]] and the orientation of the panels. The panels set in the optimal orientation automatically, but sometimes even this can not ensure the 2 unit/second specified at [[Kerbin/hu|Kerbin]]'s distance (shadowed by the craft, etc.).

  1. Energy output depends on the distance and angle to the Sun. The value is achieved at Kerbin's distance, with the panel pointed directly at the Sun.

The SP-L 1x6 Photovoltaic Panels are a mid-sized set of deployable solar panels. Unlike the OX-4W/L, the SP-W/L feature a heavy protective shroud. This shroud bears a small yellow sticker reading "WARNING: THIS THING MOVES".
